Seeing the International Space Station

My son proclaimed, "Dad, I saw it!"

My son, Brooks, was able to navigate the StarMap3D app on his iPad to track where the International Space Station was as it glided past our city last Monday night.

He quickly found a blinking, moving object in the sky that allowed him to match up with his tablet view.  He showed his siblings and his mom too.

Though he didn't actually see it, Brooks is the one family member most likely to some day actually see the Space Station.  He sure does love anything to do with space.

Tonight is the next real opportunity to view it.  Now, we can use a browser-based viewer to see the view the Space Station has of Earth as it passes overhead.

STEM education is fun!  I'm learning a lot.
