One Way to Solve Labor Shortages

Germany is in population decline.  The country with a long history of manufacturing has, for some time now, wrestled with manufacturers having to produce products with a shrinking working-age population.

So, I wasn't completely surprised when someone shared with me the unique setting car maker Volkswagen has in Dresden, Germany to produce automobiles.  It's still pretty surprising, though.

When you watch this, you'll be fascinated.  My immediate thought was that this is what you have to do to solve a labor shortage and population problem.  Make a place where people want to work and pay to automate, automate, automate.
