Community Asset: Ice Arena

I can't skate, but I, nonetheless, consider the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena one of Newark, Ohio's greatest community assets.

Before its 2005 update, it still was enough to help close the deal for my figure-skating daughter to like our move here in 2002.

After the huge revamping, its even better as a venue for not just hockey but also figure skating, ice skating lessons, and public skating sessions.

My family is enjoying an afternoon here today with a good number of our fellow Licking Countians. How lucky we are to have this among the many quality-of-life amenities in our community.
