Upbeat News: Five-Month Employment Rise

I'm watching employment, not unemployment again.  And I'm writing about it again.

With today's rates published by the Ohio LMI Division, Licking County "employment" stands at 76,500.  That's 2,600 more people in the employment column than the January number with a rise occurring in every one of the first five months of the year.

Here's the employment numbers for the five months of 2010 now:

January:  73,900
February:  74,200
March:  74,400
April:  75,800
May:  76,500

That's 2,600 more people employed.  Yes, many people are hurting out there from this down economy, but this is a positive trend.
