In "10 Million Self-Driving Cars to Arrive By 2032," The Morning Journal equates the driverless car to the car in the old t.v. show Knight Rider. The goofiness aside, it predicts the cars appearing by 2020 and widely adopted by 2032.
I'm not sure I agree that rises in carpooling and reductions in car ownership are coupled with the predictions of self-driving cars mentioned in the piece, but the rest is just fine.
Yes, Virginia, there will be a driverless car in your lifetime.
