Not many places would say they are glad to carry dead weight.
Our Port Authority owns a dead weight machine that's installed in the Air Force Primary Standards Lab run by Bionetics. It's one of the 52 different metrology labs on our Aerospace Center campus.
The machine was installed 23 years ago as a way to more accurately measure weight and force. It's accuracy is just one of the many things that differentiate our place from most labs on the planet.
So, yes, we are glad to carry dead weight. Indeed.
