I've been looking for the opportunity for months and months. Today, I was afforded a chance to tour and get a briefing on a horizontal fracking well for the oil and gas industry. Great stuff.
The particular well I toured had been drilled. It's now awaiting the results.
Suffice to say, it was fracking interesting.
The safety and environmental protection efforts are huge. It's clear the "wild west" visuals associated with the oil and gas industry are unfounded.
I was also pleased to hear the good things about Ohio that I heard from the on-site crew people I met. They like our people, places, and our community capabilities to troubleshoot and respond to the needs of the industry.
