Thinking Aerospace

All this week is National Aerospace Week and a time to spolight this industry.

Leadership of our Port Authority's largest customers will be taking part, including Goodrich and Boeing.

The AIA reports total aerospace sales: "Despite a still challenging economy, aerospace industry sales reached a new record of $214.5 billion in 2010."  The industry employed 624,000 workers directly in 2010. One in six of those is in Ohio.

Notably, aerospace also enjoyed "the largest trade surplus of any manufacturing sector" in foreign sales.

The Central Ohio Aerospace & Technology Center has a 50-year history in aerospace and is home to the largest concentration of aerospace metrology in the World.
