Testing My Thimble-Full Knowledge of Soccer

This thimble would hold all the knowledge of the sport of soccer that I have in my head.

I grew up in a football town.  Massillon has more state titles than any other Ohio team and is third in the nation in all-time high school football victories.  Heck, I was born in the town that gave birth to the NFL (Canton).

I'm not against soccer, but I just don't really know anything about it.  My daughter played in a league a couple of years ago.  That's where I got my thimble full of knowledge.

My son played his first organized game of soccer yesterday.  I can probably expect to expand my knowledge twofold by season's end.  That's two thimbles full if you're counting.

  1. Love Soccer out here in California. When the Crew play the Galaxy we will have to have a friendly bet. We have been involved with soccer for well over 30 years. You can enjoy the sport no matter what your skill level. Get a ball they can kick around the house. That way they get use to the ball at their feet.
It is a good sport but just like any other sport some parents need to be taught sportsmanship.
