It's true. This photo is of a camel living, comfortably and not in a zoo, in Ohio.
The Wilds is a great place about an hour or so from Newark where you can explore camels, giraffes, cheetahs, and a host of other wild animals in a natural setting.
Our Port Authority staff made a staff retreat there for the day. Though the staff there wasn't quite ready for helping business retreats quite as much as we would have hoped, the experience was retreat-like nonetheless.
I highly recommend it for a family to visit. The options of open safari bus or comfortable, AC-equipped bus tour are a must. Horseback riding and zip lines were added this year and, though I did neither, sure do look like attractive, memorable options.
