Teach Your Daughters Well

To be sure I was ready, at age 16, to drive my friends and me to a Cleveland Indians opener, my Dad had me drive with him in 5 pm Cleveland rush hour traffic.

I rode through similar traffic in Columbus today. My daughter drove.

No white knuckles. No wishing for a passenger-side brake.

She navigated, defensively, around some pretty crappy drivers. She proved the 50+ hours we spent in her training to drive was worthwhile and productive.

I taught her well.
