I'm Not That Old, But. . .

. . I remember. . .

- Milk delivery:  We had a metal box on the front porch where the empty bottles went and the new bottles appeared.

- Incinerators:  It was this scary-looking fire thing in the basement.  It was, perversely, eco-friendly as we put less trash in the landfill.

- Rotary dial phones:  My son asked what it was when he saw one at COSI.  My college dorm still had one, and I wouldn't be surprised to find some phone company is still leasing them to customers.

- A "new" fax machine:  My dad got one in the early 1980's and thought it was great technology.

- Newspaper collections:  Some of my newspaper route customers expected me to collect weekly.  It was a tedious way to spend my Saturdays for my 7-cents a newspaper cut.
