As Ohio Goes. . .

. . . So goes the country. This phrase has described Ohio's role in Presidential elections and as a test bed for retailers.

The phrase can work in reverse. As Presidential campaigns go, so goes Ohio and it's economy.

The negative campaigns of each of the past three Presidential campaign years have bemoaned job creation and economic conditions and, in my observation, have contributed to Ohio's decline.

Here's hoping the campaigns will spend their time taking credit for Ohio's improved economy instead this November. We can live with that.
