3D Printing: Practice What You Preach

I've been preaching 3D printing for a long time.  Only today, though, did I practice what I preached.

Yesterday afternoon, I discovered a website for designing 3D printable objects at 3dtin.com.  I designed a part that was supposed to be a desktop thing. Let's call it a widget.

With a window of time this morning, I printed it on the IC3D 3D printer.

Yes, I got some unexpected results, both good and bad.  But the key is I can now say that I practiced what I preached.  I have some more practice to go too.

UPDATE:  I got better with more practice.  My next three printed designs were much-improved.

That's the Port Authority logo, in 3D.
