The Case For Rail

A nearby counties' county commissioners got a briefing on rail.  The Mansfield News Journal article captured a tidbit worth sharing:  "The  amount of goods shipped across the United States will increase 92 percent by 2025."

I have no reason to distrust that number and that's a big deal.

Since our highway capacity isn't going to increase by 92% in the next dozen years and our number of CDL drivers is hard-pressed to meet that demand too, it means rail is more often the answer to a growing manufacturing need.

And our Port Authority owns rail-served, ready-to-build industrial sites.

Good read.
