Denison University Puts Us on the Map and Beyond

Denison University puts Licking County on the map by assembling a student body from all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries.  But it also brings the people of Licking County more than our fair share of opportunities for learning that extends beyond our globe.

One such opportunity was Saturday night when the 100+ year old Swasey Observatory on the campus was opened to the public in an open house format.  It was still another fun STEM activity too.

My boys and I got to see the moon close up, especially details of craters. Most especially, we also got to see Saturn, rings and all, as well as two of its moons.

Thanks, Denison for bringing the World, and more, to our doorsteps in Licking County.
