Doing More With Less

I still keep a copy of the news clipping by my desk.  The March 15, 1995 editorial in our local paper, The Advocate, said, "After the authority begins operations, it will see its staff grow to nearly 50 people."

The Port Authority owned 57 acres then.

When I started here in 2002, the Port Authority owned a semi truck, three fire trucks, and a heavy-duty plow truck.  It had just acquired more property.

Today, we have a staff of seven people, not 50.  We only own two pick up trucks, no semis.  We own 350 acres.

Yep.  That's doing more with less, indeed.
